Day 143 – By Faith Alone

By Faith Alone

Day 143

Joy by Carl Sandburg

Let a joy keep you.
Reach out your hands
And take it when it runs by,
As the Apache dancer
Clutches his woman.
I have seen them
Live long and laugh loud,
Sent on singing, singing,
Smashed to the heart
Under the ribs
With a terrible love.
Joy always,
Joy everywhere–
Let joy kill you!
Keep away from the little deaths.

Day 12

We exist to introduce people to Jesus Christ and help them become fully devoted followers of him.

The problem with most of us is that we're like the rest of us ~ Paul Booko

Angel-duck, angel-duck, winged and silly, Pouring a watering-pot over a lily.-Charles Lamb

“If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, looks like a duck, it must be a duck”

Day 12 took Samantha and I to the church for Awana tonight. After I dropped her off for a night of crazy fun with a hundred or so other kids, I headed down US 131 on a quest to look at a certain car for a friend and maybe snap a photo or two. Well, the car had been sold and the photo ops just didn’t present themselves well enough.

Now, on Sunday as we were going into the church, we had noticed a sweet little brown mallard nestled into some of the landscaping bricks snuggled her clutch of eggs. She sat quietly, ignoring the hundreds of people, including some over excited children.

She was still sitting quietly tonight, ignoring the hundreds of people filling in for Awana, Verse by Verse and other small groups.

She quietly ignored me as well, as I invaded her privacy…
